Limescale and its causes.
Limescale is caused by mineral deposits, i.e. calcium and magnesium hydrogencarbonate originating from limestone and dolomite dissolved by water; this water eventually makes its way to water reservoirs and households. A rise in water temperature results in increased limescale deposits. These slowly collect in the plumbing, washing machine and sanitary equipment and eventually clog the pipes, impede water flow and cause issues, such as broken valves, dullness, stains, clogged aerators and increased energy use.
Water softeners are installed at point-of-entry. Water softeners are vital in softening water and treatment of drinking water—the core filtration system.
Magnetic descalers protect and extend the lifespan of plumbing and sanitary equipment.
Micro-softening protects sanitary water storage tanks and washing machines.
